The production of The Mikado involved the whole school. It seems that Mr Larmer had been working on it for over a year. Mr Anderson eventually got the staff involved to bring the show to a head.

Most of the secondary kids took the acting parts (the McVeigh twins Brendan and Gerard starring in two of the main roles). Some helped Roger Byrne and the Art Department to make the scenery.

The primary classes helped to make the props. Margaret Cosgrove's class were the dragon a part added for them. It ran for 2 nights for the public and we had some other local schools who attended the dress rehersal.  It was staged sometime before christmas in 1977.
